LEMON GINGER SHOTS

Lemon Ginger Shots (Ice Cube Style)

These lemon ginger shots are a powerful way to jumpstart your day! Packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, they’re simple to make and store in your freezer for daily use. Just drop one cube into hot water for a soothing tea, or blend with cold water for a refreshing drink. Alternatively, you can store the drink in the fridge for a quick daily wellness shot.

Health Benefits:

  • Lemon: Rich in Vitamin C, supports immunity, aids digestion, and alkalizes the body.

  • Ginger: Contains gingerol, known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, supports digestion, and helps alleviate nausea.

Ingredients (Makes ~12 ice cubes):

  • 5 large lemons, juiced (about 1 cup)

  • 3-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and chopped

  • ½ cup water (adjust as needed for blending)

Instructions:

Using a Juicer:

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Juice the lemons and ginger separately.

  2. Mix: In a small bowl, combine the lemon juice, ginger juice, and honey (if using). Stir well.

  3. Pour and Freeze: Pour the mixture into an ice cube tray and freeze until solid.

Using a Blender:

  1. Blend: Add chopped ginger, lemon juice, honey (if using), and water to a high-speed blender. Blend until smooth.

  2. Strain: Use a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove the pulp, extracting the liquid.

  3. Pour and Freeze: Pour the strained liquid into an ice cube tray and freeze.

To Use:

  • Lemon Ginger Tea: Drop 1–2 cubes into a mug of hot water. Stir to dissolve and enjoy.

  • Refreshing Drink: Blend 1–2 cubes with cold water or sparkling water for a zesty beverage.

  • Wellness Shot: Store the prepared liquid in the fridge (up to 5 days) and enjoy a 1-2 ounce shot each morning.

Tip:

Customize the strength by adjusting the ratio of lemon to ginger, or add turmeric for an extra anti-inflammatory boost. These cubes are also great in smoothies for a tangy, spicy kick!
