GREEN JUICE
Ingredients:
2 large green apples, cored and chopped
4 stalks of celery, chopped
1 cucumber, peeled and chopped
1 cup spinach leaves
1-inch piece of ginger, peeled
1/2 lemon, juiced
1 cup water (optional, for a thinner consistency)
Ice cubes (optional, for serving)
Instructions:
Prepare the Ingredients:
Wash all the produce thoroughly.
Core and chop the apples.
Chop the celery stalks.
Peel and chop the cucumber.
Peel the ginger.
Juicing Process:
If using a juicer:
Feed the apples, celery, cucumber, spinach, and ginger through the juicer.
Collect the juice in a large pitcher.
If using a blender:
Add the apples, celery, cucumber, spinach, and ginger to the blender.
Add 1 cup of water to help blend the ingredients.
Blend on high until smooth.
Pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a large pitcher, pressing to extract as much juice as possible.
Add Lemon Juice:
Squeeze the half lemon into the juice and stir well.
Serve:
Pour the green juice into glasses.
Add ice cubes if desired.
Serve immediately for the freshest taste.
Tips:
Storage: Fresh juice is best consumed immediately, but it can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
Variations: Add other greens like kale or parsley for extra nutrients.
Sweetness: If you prefer a sweeter juice, add another apple or a small amount of honey or agave syrup.
